A major focus of our Dunlop Tyres SA #BeyondTheRiftValley Expedition has always been #doingitforthechildren. Both Peter Van Kets and I are official ambassadors for Children in the Wilderness and it was therefore with a huge sense of pride that we got to participate in a tree planting ceremony with the Wilderness Safaris #EcoClub at the gorgeous #BisateLodge in #rwanda.

More than 60 very excited youngsters attended an outdoor lesson on the importance of re-forestation to extend the #VolcanoesNP for the critically endangered mountain #gorillas, and each of them then got to plant their own indigenous tree to create a #CITW Eco-Club Forest here at Bisate Lodge!

This is but one small way in which #ChildrenInTheWilderness assists in educating kids in Africa’s wildest places, and in the process helping them to understand the important part a sustainable natural environment plays in their collective future.
