I at first thought that was a bat caught in the beam of Christo Swanepoel‘s headlamp on his pre-dawn test ascent of one of the potential #tradclimbing routes at Klein Tafelberg 4×4 #AdventureCentre. It turned out to be a swift, and hundreds more cruise-missiled past us as the eastern skyline turned from pink, to amber, and then gold.
“Solid Compact Sandstone, and even better, virgin rock! Some epic crags with great scope for traditional multi-pitch climbing, not to mention loads of shorter #sportclimbing options” … I’ll take Christo’s word for it, and can’t wait to join him and Nichelle when they head back into the Bergrivier Tourism Region’s #Sandveld Area to officially open this #DiscWorld playground
