Talk about hot! I saw 37 DEG C in the bakkie at one stage, but some guys mentioned the temperature peaking at 41. This would be hectic in mid-summer, but jeez, we’re barely into September. The KZN North Coast heat did little to dampen the spirit of The Kingdom’s mountain bikers as they took on a route blasting through sugar cane, sand-forest, over narrow canal bridges, along green canals and district roads. Ty White was pretty much unstoppable, with Gareth Harrington bagging 2nd spot. All in all, an amazing day out on the bike (and with the cameras).
