So how do you top Race Day at the OTTER African Trail Run? I mean, the weather was perfect; the men and ladies smashed their respective records; SALOMON and GU rocked the house; and their were more smiles per mile than at any other trail race I can remember … So come CHALLENGE morning, you tend to feel a little jaded … until you step onto the trail. It does not matter when or where, this magical route from Storms River Mouth to Tsitsikamma cannot fail to impress. And neither could the brave athletes who took on the gruelling 42.2km off-road marathon: their guts, determination and -above else – smiles, made the 2013 OTTER Challenge another event to be cherished. But then, we would expect nothing less from the brilliant Magnetic South team – thank you for allowing us to share in your passion for this pristine section of the Garden Route.
