Sometimes, you need a day just to slow things down, even on the most adventurous of missions. That’s exactly what the #BeyondAukoerebis Crew did yesterday as our Isuzu South Africa road trip through southern Africa’s arid interior rolled into its final day.
Peter Van Kets is off to #Namibia (again) while #DieOom is heading south to the Namaqua West Coast in search of a wave or two, with Pistol Peter Kirk and Zane Schmahl and family to add some vibes. The gorgeous coastline of#DoringBay and surrounds is sure to deliver a final adrenaline hit before we are forced to fully re-integrate into Cape Town life…
A final meander into SANParks – Augrabies Falls National Park saw us greet the sun on the Klipspringer Trail, before we did a back-road morph onto the remote gravel tracks into rugged #Riemvasmaak canyon. Highlight of the day though would have to be sundowners at the gorgeous @khamkirri, now under new management and undoubtedly still one of the #NorthernCape‘s most iconic Orange River destinations.
So lekker to catch up with Danie and Philippa and to also see the amazing changes they’ve made to this outdoor gem. I even had the chance to grab some sunset #flyfishing photos before we snuck back to our tents in the park.
A huge thank you to #IsuzuSA once again, as without their massive and ongoing support, this family adventure would never have been possible. Having Karyn, Kim, Beth, Robs, Hannah and Grace there to experience the desert wilderness is not something money could ever buy.
