After all the cold and rain in Robertson, Sunday morning dawned beautifully. It was still freezing, but as the mist cleared and the sun broke through, it was a gorgeous and clear winter’s day. The MERRELL Rally Trail Run – a new addition to the events presented by MOUNTAIN RUNNER at this year’s Wacky Wine Fest – saw teams having rollicking fun along a 6km route traversing the Arabella vineyards. The best thing about it? No matter how fast or slow you were, if you could read a Map Route Book, you were in there with a chance. This then made it a perfect event for families to enter as well, and therefore a fitting way to conclude the Wacky Wine Festivities.
