The #Namib is estimated to be the oldest desert on Planet Earth, with some of the bedrock formations and sedimentary layers dating back 55-80 million years to the end of the Late Cretaceous Period. I find this southern region of Namibia both breathtaking & -giving, with end-of-days landscapes allowing you to breathe free and unencumbered, far away from the distractions of what most humans refer to as ‘civilisation’.

This arid land is a dream destination for adventurers and photographers alike, with minimalism and drama colliding to create beauty on a grand geological scale. And then there is the light … It oozes a sublime subtlety, adding a dreamlike dimension to every image, with best-of-planet ‘golden hours’ morphing into sunsets unmatched anywhere in our known world.

I cannot think of a better place to lay the creative foundation for a documentary film with superstar Karo van Tonder and Andre Hugo Media than this deeply spiritual and life-affirming space. And always so lekker to have Dudley Bruce Wessels with us ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿงก
