This little scoundrel has been leading me a merry chase for the past few weeks, hurling constant #PietMyVrou abuse at me from the canopy around our #Harkerville Forest backyard. He got busy just after 5h30 this morning, and I finally tracked him down in one of the dry, ring-barked blackwoods. Some other raucous regulars joined in the fun, and obligingly posed for their morning portraits – a precocious Knysna turaco, and a Gewone Willie (how can you not love the Afrikaans name)!?
