Got to take the new Giant Bicycles South Africa #XTC Advanced on its first proper off-trail mission in the stunning Roggeveld surrounds from #Rooikloof Guest Farm, near Sutherland. Very lekker to have Zane Schmahl from #EcoboundMTB with me on his #VIPA, as part of a potential scout around the #Karoo leg of the multi-day #RideTheRail #MTB Tour.

Hopping fences and no cell signal turned it into a proper adventure with no Google Eart to fall back on, so stacks of portaging, an #endo or two, lekker kakpraat sessions in the saddle, and a cliff scramble or two. The #dessert for the day was a sweet little waterfall chute, topped by an ice-cold beer when we finally made it home to the rest of the crew 🙂
