Sometimes life does not play out the way you would like it to. Karyn envisaged a home birth with Angela, our mid-wife, but Grace had other ideas, which meant we had to rush into theatre for an emergency C-section op. But then, life does happen the way it is supposed to, and despite a few scary moments, the brilliant team at Vincent Pallotti Hospital did their job brilliantly and with incredible humanity. The images are grab shots with the FUJI X-100, the best reportage camera I have ever held in my hands. They capture a few moments along Grace’s journey into our hearts. May there be many more moments of beauty to share between her, Kay, Beth, Robs and me.
