Kickstarting this Monday with a few as yet unseen memories of last week’s experiences in the enchanting Cape West Coast / Swartland Tourism
Region. I got to trip the gravel back roads with the

OZone crew while sampling the exceptional #wines and #oliveoil oil of the Swartland Wine & Olive Route, and boy, do I miss my morning wine tasting right now

The Isuzu South Africa #muX got us to a few amazing places on the final couple of days, including the unforgettable Retreat Guest Farm

hidden away within the lofty #PiketBoBerg. Let’s just say their #mountainbike #trails are kickass, and I would have to rate Piketberg Tourism
as one of my Top 5 recent outdoor discoveries.

There is loads more to do in the #Swartland, with

Moorreesburg & Koringberg Tourism boasting the stunning #KoringbergTrail next door. Forget about those mono-culture daisies, because the floral display here is so diverse it will absolutely blow your mind. And once you’re done, the organic wines – and oysters with award-winning bubbly – await your pleasures just down the road at Org De Rac Wine Estate.

So don’t check the Swartland skeef when next you’re looking for a weekend getaway an hour or so from Cape Town. It is the perfect #travel escape for those keen to #staylocal and #playlocal in the Western Cape
