Now this is what I call a ‘Holiday in your own Backyard’ … We spent a gorgeous night in the tranquil Slangkop Tented Camp, near Kommetjie, to celebrate Kay’s birthday this past weekend, and it is a truly fabulous spot.

The tented camp is one of the stops along the Hoerikwaggo Trail, with easy access to both the lighthouse and beach. Few people realise you can visit this Table Mountain National Park facility and sleep over here, even if you are not partaking in the Hoerikwaggo Hike.
